I can't believe another year has gone by and I am still active. This is much more a shock to myself then it is to all of you believe me. I've never stuck with something as long as I have this page. I promise this post will be short and hopefully not that sappy. I wanted to say thank you for all of you who have stuck with me threw these last 3 years. I am grateful for all of my readers and people who have helped with this page along the way. I have a lot more in mind for this page for the 3rd year. More Connor and Morgan short stories, more Paris In My Pocket, More baking and fingers crossed I will finally get my butt in gear and start Vloging again. I have gotten a lot of request for another daily and you will be happy to know I'm in the works of putting one together for later this summer. Once again I would like to just say a massive thank you. With out all of you I wouldn't have survived the first year. Here's to another great year of That One Girl! XO That One Girl

20 years ago today Harry Potter received his letter to Hogwarts, and the world of literature was changed forever. Sense then Potter fans have read 7 books seen 8 movies and 1 play. Like the little black dress Harry Potter has become both iconic and will never go out of style. I know I've talked your ear off multiple times before about Harry Potter, so for the 20th anniversary instead of a long and wordy essay on why I love Harry Potter (Click here if that's something you really want to read instead.) I've decided to answer a few Me Myself & I Harry Potter related questions instead. 1. Your favorite Harry Potter bookMy favorite is definitely The Goblet Of Fire. I love that its a great change of pace in the series. I also loved how you got to get to know other wizarding schools. 2.Your favorite Harry Potter movieI honestly cant decide between The Goblet Of Fire (yes I actually really loved the movie.) and The Half Blood Prince. 3. Your least favorite female characterWith out a doubt it has to be Dolores Umbridge. I was honestly disappointed that she made it to threw the series. 4. Your least favorite male characterHere's where people get angry with me, but my least favorite character is Snape. I don't think all can be forgiven just because Harry's dad picked on him in school and the fact that he was in love with Harry's mom. He only "saved" Harry because he loved Lilly, but he also tortured him because he was Jame's son. All cant be forgiven just because of "Always." 5. If you were sorted what house would you be in?I have been sorted a couple years ago my mom and I went to the Harry Potter exhibit in Seattle and we were lucky enough to be chosen to be sorted by the sorting hat. We were both sorted into Hufflepuff and for someone who is a big fan of loyalty I was very happy to be put into this house. I just have to work on the patients thing. 6. What would your favorite class be?I think I would like either Transfigurations or Care of Magical Creatures. 7. Who is your favorite professor?I actually had to stop and think about this one. I know I can definitely tell you who my least favorite is haha. My favorite teacher would probably have to be Lupin. 8. If you could bring one character back to life who would it be?It definitely wouldn't be Cedric (15 blog points if you know why.) I would have to say I would either bring back Fred or Tonks. 9. If you could meet one member of the cast who would it be?I gave this one a lot of thought as well. At first I was going to say James and Oli Phelps but then I changed my mind to Emma Watson. I would like to talk about books and general life stuff with her. She seems like the type of person who would give great advice. 10. If you could use one spell which would you chose?Does apparition count as a spell? 11. Do you have any Harry Potter related tattoos? No I don't. One of these days I plan to get a small snitch with the words "I open at the close." but for now I don't. 12. Have you been to The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter?Sadly no I haven't but it is on my bucket list, as well as going to the Harry Potter studios in London. 13. Do you have a favorite Death Eater?Draco Malfoy. 14. Who is your favorite Weasley?Definitely Fred and George. 15. Who is your favorite male character?16. Who is your favorite female character?Tonks, not only is she a kick ass witch shes also a kick ass Hufflepuff. 17. A scene from the books you wish was in the moviesI would have liked to see the scene where Harry and Ron go down to the Hogwarts kitchen and see Dobby and Winky. 18. A scene from the films you wish was differentI wish they would have done more with the department of mysteries in the Order Of The Phoenix. All though I do know do to budget they couldn't. 19. If you got the chance to ask J K Rowling one question what would you ask?*SPOILER! I know some of my friends haven't read he books yet.* I would question her about the horcrux in Harry. It has always sort of bothered me that she says basilisk venom can destroy a horcrux, but when Harry is bit down in the chamber of secrets the horcruxs living inside him doesn't die. What's up with that Jo? 20. Lastly chose a hollowThe invisibility cloak. I hope you all enjoyed this post. If you would like to answer these questions yourself copy and past it into the comments below so I can see your answers too. Happy Potterversary everyone (cheesy yes but I don't care.) The new trailer for Pitch Perfect 3 is here! I for one can't be more excited for this movie. To be honest I was a bit worried at first that the story line would be something completely off the wall ridiculous, but its *so far.* lived up to everything I love about the movies. My only complaint *and unpopular opinion.* is that they seam to be focusing too much on Fat Amy in this one. Don't get me wrong I love her charterer, but it looks like they are trying a little to hard to milk the funny and love the fans have for her in this one. No matter what you all know I will be seeing the movie in December. XO That One Girl Yesterday a group of friends and I went on a hike to Lewis Falls. It was a lot of fun, I took a extreme amount of pictures including a set of Paris In My Pocket pictures. This trip nearly was the end of PIMP as I had dropped the Eiffel Tower into some brush. Luckily it landed on a rock and only took a short couple minutes to find. I will be uploading the non Paris pictures in to the My Photos section some time this weekend, as well as posting them on Facebook. For now I hope you enjoy A Waterfall In Paris. *Links are all in blue.*
XO That One Girl Short story by me. Nathaniel didn't like to call it revenge; Returning the favor sounded much nicer. The small kingdom of Chance never saw it coming. There had been neither rumors nor whispers of it in the neighboring kingdoms, nor, had there been anything like it before. The Sleeping Death is what they had learned to call the disease. It crept into their homes a clear blue mist filling the rooms, taking their last breath whilst they slept.
Hundreds upon thousands of people lay dead throughout the country, yet King Edwin was unconcerned. King Edwin liked to surround himself with psychics and mediums. His favorite was a psychic named Bastian. Bastian told the king "Since you are of royal blood, noting but a natural death would ever bestowed you." It was this remark that led the King to believe that his beloved castle was disease-proof. Upon this revelation, he developed the plan to invite a thousand of his closest friends and family to the castle for a grand supper. That is partly how Nathaniel found himself sitting in a chair inside the grand ballroom at the biggest table he had ever seen in his life. The people who surrounded the table spoke, laughed and ate as though death wasn't just outside the door. "Christian," Queen Daisy called down to Nathaniel with a delighted smile upon her face. (Christian was the name if Nathaniel's twin brother.) Christian had befriended the Queen when she was just a child; he was her oldest friends and closest confidant. Christian was the other reason why he found himself inside at the supper. A few days prior, Nathaniel had been on a hunting trip with his brother when it had happened. The Sleeping Death entered the kingdom that night-taking Nathaniel's wife Ella. His heart both broke and hardened that day, It broke over the death of Ella, but it hardened when he went to the King and asked him to help his kingdom. Because he was Christian's brother; the King agreed to talk to him. "This Sleeping Death you talk of has nothing to do with me, nor has it anything to do with my family. I see no reasoning in why I should help you." King Edwin said. "Does not have anything to do with you? Your Royal Highness, your kingdom is dying beneath your feet! For each night that passes, more and more of the people your people are succumbing to death. How does this not concern you?" Nathaniel asked, hatred attaching itself to every word as it spilled from his mouth. "I have nothing more to say to you but to ask you if you would deliver this invitation to your brother from my wife. She would very much like him to come to our supper this Friday. Tell him it would mean everything to her to have him here with us," King Edwin said taking a small rolled up piece of parchment from Bastian. As Nathaniel took the invitation, the King smiled, "Have a lovely night." Upon returning home, Nathaniel told his brother the story of what had happened at the castle. He then presented his brother with the invitation from Queen Daisy. "I have yet to see why she loves him so. He is nothing but narcissistic and pompis. He should be helping what is left of his people, not celebrating the deaths of those who have been taken." Christian paused, looking from his brother to the invitation. "You will go in my stead," he said. "Me?" Nathaniel asked a bit baffled at his brother's words. "I want nothing to do with this supper. For all I care about this supper is for King Edwin to choke upon his fancy food. It is what he deserves." "Precisely, brother." Christian said with a mischievous smile upon his lips. "Would you like to hear my plan?" Nathaniel nodded slightly, not sure he truly wanted to hear this plan, but also not sure he truly didn't. "You shall go as me, whilst you are there, you shall present King Edwin with a bottle of my finest hand-made wine. (King Edwin has said before he can not resist a drop of my wine.) He will drink the whole bottle himself. However this wine will nit be like any other I have made for him before. For this wine will be laced with pokeberries: half a glass and he shall succumb to death. It is what he deserves for letting his people suffer whilst he sits around and dines with friends." Nathaniel was taken with the idea immediately. (Present day.) "Yes, Daisy?" Christian (Nathaniel) replied, smiling at the Queen. "How is your poor brother doing? I hear through the whispers maids that Ella has been taken by the Sleeping Death." Queen Daisy said. "He is devastated, Mum. Ella was the love of his life. He will find another like her I fear." Christian (Nathaniel) explained with much sorrow. Pain shown in the Queen's eyes. "There will be no more talk of death. WE are here to celebrate great friends, great family and great health!" King Edwin Roared from the head of the table. "To health!" the res of the table repeated raising their glasses as well. He raised his glass full of Christian's fine wine to his lips and began to drink. King Edwin brought his free had to his throat, the room fell silent as he started to choke violently. Fear filled eyes locked with Nathaniel's as he slumped forward to his death. Queen Daisy rose to her feet and rushed to her husbands side. "Edwin! Edwin!" she scrame shaking the King. "Hes gone my Queen." Bastian said wrapping his arms around her. Bastian looked down the table to Nathaniel. Nathaniel slowly rose to his feet. Wine glass in his hand. "Long live the King." He said a cruel smile upon his lip he turned and slowly walked out of the castle. Once at the castle gates he stopped to take one last look at the castle. Just in time to see the Sleeping Death slowly creeping under the castle doors. |
