It's that time of year again, the days are getting shorter, coffee cups are turning red and there's a Christmas movie on every channel you turn. December is finally here and this year were starting off Blogmas with my Top 5 favorite Christmas movies. 1. The Santa ClausI'm the type of person that will watch a movie a million times over. I will also watch a Christmas movie in March if its on, but this movie I will only watch around Christmas time. It just doesn't feel like Christmas until I've seen The Santa Claus. 2. Home AloneHow can you not love this movie? Its a Christmas classic. I have so many memories surrounding this movie, in fact I'm watching it right now. Home Alone is the movie that started my love for Christmas movies. It will never get old. 3. Th Grinch That Stole ChristmasWhat can I say about this movie that hasn't already been said? It's one of those stories that you can love and learn from at any age. 4. A Christmas StoryWho hasn't quoted this movie at least once in their lives? I love everything about this movie. I will also full on admit I own cookie cutters shaped like the leg lamp and bunny pajamas. I watch the marathon every year. 5. Frosty The SnowmanFrosty is an all time Christmas classic. I love everything about this movie. (minus the Netflix remake.)

I'm absolutely loving this song. I have had it on repeat *literally* sense it dropped last night. This weeks song of the week is by one of my very favorite artist Louis Tomlinson ft. Bebe Rexha and Digital Farm Animals. Back To You I've sat here for a little while now, trying to figure out if I should write this post or not. How would I word it? Would it even matter saying something about it? Would people even care enough to read another thing about it? Today we lost someone from the music world who has made a big impact on my life personally. Chester Bennington from Linkin Park has very sadly ended his own life today. My heart goes out to his family, his band mates, his friends and his fans. I have been a fan of Linkin Park sense Hybrid Theory first dropped. I've talked about this band before on here saying "Everyone has that one band in their life that has so much meaning to them. That one band that's songs and lyrics connect perfectly with you. That one band you keep going back to no matter what. This is that band for me." This band has been so much to me over the years. Almost every song they have made has some sort of memory good or bad attached to it. I was talking to my niece today about this and I said to her "I can't imagine ever being in a place so dark you feel like there's no help or no way out but death." In my opinion death is never the answer, no matter how old you are or even who you are if you ever feel like that may be what you want to do please don't. Please seek help. If you feel like no one around you will care or listen to you please call this number 1-800-273-8255 there are people out there who want to help you. No life is worth losing. RIP Chester I hope you have finally found peace. XO That One Girl
20 years ago today Harry Potter received his letter to Hogwarts, and the world of literature was changed forever. Sense then Potter fans have read 7 books seen 8 movies and 1 play. Like the little black dress Harry Potter has become both iconic and will never go out of style. I know I've talked your ear off multiple times before about Harry Potter, so for the 20th anniversary instead of a long and wordy essay on why I love Harry Potter (Click here if that's something you really want to read instead.) I've decided to answer a few Me Myself & I Harry Potter related questions instead. 1. Your favorite Harry Potter bookMy favorite is definitely The Goblet Of Fire. I love that its a great change of pace in the series. I also loved how you got to get to know other wizarding schools. 2.Your favorite Harry Potter movieI honestly cant decide between The Goblet Of Fire (yes I actually really loved the movie.) and The Half Blood Prince. 3. Your least favorite female characterWith out a doubt it has to be Dolores Umbridge. I was honestly disappointed that she made it to threw the series. 4. Your least favorite male characterHere's where people get angry with me, but my least favorite character is Snape. I don't think all can be forgiven just because Harry's dad picked on him in school and the fact that he was in love with Harry's mom. He only "saved" Harry because he loved Lilly, but he also tortured him because he was Jame's son. All cant be forgiven just because of "Always." 5. If you were sorted what house would you be in?I have been sorted a couple years ago my mom and I went to the Harry Potter exhibit in Seattle and we were lucky enough to be chosen to be sorted by the sorting hat. We were both sorted into Hufflepuff and for someone who is a big fan of loyalty I was very happy to be put into this house. I just have to work on the patients thing. 6. What would your favorite class be?I think I would like either Transfigurations or Care of Magical Creatures. 7. Who is your favorite professor?I actually had to stop and think about this one. I know I can definitely tell you who my least favorite is haha. My favorite teacher would probably have to be Lupin. 8. If you could bring one character back to life who would it be?It definitely wouldn't be Cedric (15 blog points if you know why.) I would have to say I would either bring back Fred or Tonks. 9. If you could meet one member of the cast who would it be?I gave this one a lot of thought as well. At first I was going to say James and Oli Phelps but then I changed my mind to Emma Watson. I would like to talk about books and general life stuff with her. She seems like the type of person who would give great advice. 10. If you could use one spell which would you chose?Does apparition count as a spell? 11. Do you have any Harry Potter related tattoos? No I don't. One of these days I plan to get a small snitch with the words "I open at the close." but for now I don't. 12. Have you been to The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter?Sadly no I haven't but it is on my bucket list, as well as going to the Harry Potter studios in London. 13. Do you have a favorite Death Eater?Draco Malfoy. 14. Who is your favorite Weasley?Definitely Fred and George. 15. Who is your favorite male character?16. Who is your favorite female character?Tonks, not only is she a kick ass witch shes also a kick ass Hufflepuff. 17. A scene from the books you wish was in the moviesI would have liked to see the scene where Harry and Ron go down to the Hogwarts kitchen and see Dobby and Winky. 18. A scene from the films you wish was differentI wish they would have done more with the department of mysteries in the Order Of The Phoenix. All though I do know do to budget they couldn't. 19. If you got the chance to ask J K Rowling one question what would you ask?*SPOILER! I know some of my friends haven't read he books yet.* I would question her about the horcrux in Harry. It has always sort of bothered me that she says basilisk venom can destroy a horcrux, but when Harry is bit down in the chamber of secrets the horcruxs living inside him doesn't die. What's up with that Jo? 20. Lastly chose a hollowThe invisibility cloak. I hope you all enjoyed this post. If you would like to answer these questions yourself copy and past it into the comments below so I can see your answers too. Happy Potterversary everyone (cheesy yes but I don't care.) The new trailer for Pitch Perfect 3 is here! I for one can't be more excited for this movie. To be honest I was a bit worried at first that the story line would be something completely off the wall ridiculous, but its *so far.* lived up to everything I love about the movies. My only complaint *and unpopular opinion.* is that they seam to be focusing too much on Fat Amy in this one. Don't get me wrong I love her charterer, but it looks like they are trying a little to hard to milk the funny and love the fans have for her in this one. No matter what you all know I will be seeing the movie in December. XO That One Girl 30 song answers about me that I bet you didn't know. 1. A song you like with a color in the title

Luckily the weather has been amazing enough to do some pics outside this time around. So with out further blah blah blah lets get on with this months favs. Life happens.... Coffee helps. This month I have been really into Starbucks' latest creation the Caramelized Honey Latte. It has turned into my latest go to iced drink. If you haven't tried it you totally should. I cant stress how good this is. Its the right blend of sweet and coffee. Speaking of yummy things. This month one of my best friends Shayna and I have been totally obsessed with these little cookies called Nom Noms. They taste exactly like a no bake cookie. The flavor we have been eating the hell out of lately are the Peanut Butter Oats, Nom Noms are made by a company called Nature Box. And are 100% good for you. So you don't have to feel bad for eating a whole bag in one sitting. As Shayna has said "Nom Noms are life." haha shes going to kill me for that.
Keeping it with the theme of entertainment for the moment. This month I fell in love the book Lady Midnight (The Dark Artifice Book 1) by Cassandra Clare. Cassandra Clare is one of my all time fav authors. I have all of her books. I would highly recommend any of her series to anyone. I could''t put it down the whole time I was reading it, I can't wait for book 2. The Dark Artifice Series is the sister series to the Mortal Instruments *the books are nothing like the show* this time around you the story is set in California at the Los Angeles institute. Below is a run down of the plot... (with no spoilers) It’s been five years since the events of City of Heavenly Fire that brought the Shadowhunters to the brink of oblivion. Emma Carstairs is no longer a child in mourning, but a young woman bent on discovering what killed her parents and avenging her losses. Together with her parabatai Julian Blackthorn, Emma must learn to trust her head and her heart as she investigates a demonic plot that stretches across Los Angeles, from the Sunset Strip to the enchanted sea that pounds the beaches of Santa Monica. If only her heart didn’t lead her in treacherous directions… Making things even more complicated, Julian’s brother Mark—who was captured by the faeries five years ago—has been returned as a bargaining chip. The faeries are desperate to find out who is murdering their kind—and they need the Shadowhunters’ help to do it. But time works differently in faerie, so Mark has barely aged and doesn’t recognize his family. Can he ever truly return to them? Will the faeries really allow it? *side note these are no Tinkerbell type faeries*
I hope you all enjoyed my March favs. I know there wasn't that many. Who knows April's favs might be longer.
Xo That One Girl One of my fav types of videos to watch on YouTube are monthly favorites. I thought about filming them myself but I don't have a proper camera for those types of video. So I'm going to be doing them on here. My monthly favs will consist of different products and entertainment things I have been into over the past month. Along with something about them. So with out further Blah Blah Blah. Lets get on with my February Favs. *Not all my favs are pictured above. And they are in no particular order *
Sometimes old favs can become new favs all over again. That definitely is the case with my this next product. It's no secret that I bleach my hair. *and will continue to do so.* My hair is baby fine. It drys out and frizzes all the time. I used to wash my hair with Bed Head products to keep the frizz out and maintain the blonde in my hair. I stopped using it because the products were expensive. We recently got a bunch of the products in at my work for half the original price. The day we got them in I picked up some shampoo an fell in love with it eminently. It makes my hair very soft and healthy looking. With a slight glow to it. The smell is amazing as well. My go to perfume of the month was Blush from Rue21. I swear 95% of the perfumes I own are from Rue. Blush is a mild floral sent with a small splash of fruity mixed in. I tried finding it online but I think its an in store only product.
Lets talk TV shows shall we? To start things off one show I have been totally into this month is Teen Wolf. I know what your going to say that's nothing new. That's all the time. I recently pushed my good friend Catie down the Teen Wolf rabbit hole, and have been obsession over the show with her. She is currently on season 3b and we text and talk about it all the time. Season 3b has been my fav so far but this season *5b* is giving it a run for its money. I have been live tweeting the show each week As well as freaking out about the beast of gevaudan, I never liked werewolves until teen wolf. I know I have said it before. I have always been the vampire girl. So this is a whole new world of mythology for me. And all though I don't believe it could ever happen its really fun to watch. Last but defiantly not least Fuller House. I talked about how excited I was to see the show last week I binge watched nearly the whole season on Friday before I left for the weekend. I watched the final three episodes Sunday night. I for one think the show did not disappoint. I can not wait for season 2. The first episode was a bit cheesy with them trying to put so much nostalgia into 30 minutes. But it got so much better. Stephanie is still my fav. I am definitely team Steve not just because of Full House. But because I'm not too sure I like Matt. Lets talk Olsen twins. I don't think that the girls will be coming on the show. There might have been a slim chance for an appearance for season 2. But the writers threw too much shade *all be it funny* at them. I would love for them to come on the show. I just unfortunately don't think it will happen, XO That One Girl
Its no secret *no pun* that I'm a huge fan of the band Little Mix. Meeting them is on my bucket list. I also have lyrics *that has a lot of meaning to me* to one of their song "We Are Who We Are" tattooed on my left arm. In fact I'm listening to Towers right now. I know I'm rambling but there's a point. I have been thinking of doing a song of the week thing. Where i post different songs and things I have been listening to. It will have a rang of everything from Little Mix to 2 Chainz *who btw sings some of my all time favs.* So keep an eye out each week for a new song. XO That One Girl It's no secret that I'm obsessed with The X Factor. I am constantly talking about it *off the blog* and I live tweet with the show each week *one of my random fav things to do* This week was the semi finals, and with out a doubt Louisa Johnson killed it! All though I really really want Che to win this year. I feel that Louisa has what it takes to make it. When she first auditioned I knew right away that she would be in the final. And with this song she definitely sealed her fate to be in the finals this year. |
