April is coming to an end, which means a new favorites blog post is on the horizon. Unfortunately I was sick for a good part of the month Although I won't be skipping out on doing an April Favorites. I warn you this one will be somewhat shorter then the last couple favorite blogs. I also wanted to talk about comments. I love it when you guys want to talk about things I have posted. But please comment on the blog post itself. And not on the Facebook link. Also I know when you click like on the blog post that it asks you to confirm. The like wont show up on your Facebook page. It's just a way for me to keep track of the types of blogs you guys like most. So please comment on blog posts and hit like. I know I sound needy. Its just an easy way to keep track of things so I can get the content you want to see out to you.

A book is a dream you hold in your hands.I love surprises. *That's one of the reason I really like the idea of monthly boxes so much.* One of my favorite past times is reading. I have loved it sense I was very little. So when I spotted OwlCrate on Facebook I knew I had to check it out. OwlCrate is a monthly box that has a different theme and Y/A book with each box. When I saw that the April theme was Dystopia, I was very excited. Dystopia is currently one of my favorite genres. I just had to get my hands on this box. You can perches an OwlCrate box 1 of 5 ways the 1st way is month to month. That will run you $29.99 +Shipping each month. The 2nd way is a 3 month prepay. That is $86.98 +Shipping. The 3rd is a 6 month prepay. This is $167.97 +shipping. The 4th way is to gift the box to someone. The prices for that are the same as above. If you do the 1 month gift you only get one box. The 5th and final way you can get a box is to perches it threw the past boxes section of the website. Sense I just wanted one box. I chose to gift it to myself. *You can pay via PayPal as well as card.* Now that we have covered the numbers end of the box lets get on to the fun stuff! Check out what I got in my Dystopian OwlCrate Box. Just like any monthly box the OwlCrate box comes with a list of things you will find inside. Each box comes with a special trinket. This months trinket has to be one of my favorite things in the whole box. Its a Hunger Games themed Mockingjay bracelet. Brought to you by The Geeky Cauldron I have been wanting to get one of these bracelets for a while now. So I was very excited to see that one came in the box. The Geeky Cauldron has a ton of really awesome fandom themed jewelry. I highly recommend that you check them out. And when you do use the code 'OWLCRATE" at check out to get 10% your whole order. This months box included one of 2 Hunger Games themed magnets. Designed by HalfBloodPrints. As soon as I opened this I immediately stuck it on my refrigerator. HalfBloodPrints has a ton of really cool fandom related things on their website. Ranging from clothes to home decor. It is totally worth a look While your there why don't you use the code THANKYOU30 at check out for 30% off your whole order. Another fun thing they had in this months box was a cute little coaster. This Shatter Me coaster *That I have totally been using all day* was designed by Evie Bookish With the quote "I spent my life folded between the pages of books." I love the quote and the design is just so pretty. This box also came with an iron on patch that reads "Property of WCKD" Being a huge fan of The Maze Runner series I love that they sent this. Now I just have to find a place to put it... Also in the box is a tiny notebook designed to look like the book 1984 by George Orwell. The notebook was designed by the company Manuscript. Last but definitely not least the book! This months book is Flawed by Cecelia Ahern. Flawed is Cecelia's first Y/A novel I'm only a couple chapters in but this book is really good so far. Another thing I really like about the box, is that the book comes with a letter from the author. Inside the book there was a Flawed tattoo. I'm currently using the tattoo as a bookmark. The only thing I would have changed about this box is I would have included the Divergent series some how. All in all I really liked OwlCrate. I'm glad I decided to buy it. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves to read. But do to the price I don't think I will be getting this month to month.
XO That One Girl I am so sorry I haven't updated the blog in a while. I was sick last week. I got a sinus infection that caused my face to swell up 2x its normal size. Because of this I really wasn't motivated to do much Monday-Friday. I did however find 2 new recipes that I added to my Backing section that I hope you will enjoy. This week my allergies have been kicking my ass. But I have meds for both my sinuses and my allergies. So hopefully I am 100% soon. I have so many things I want to add to this page and some of the other pages as well. I will try my hardest to get something up for you guys to enjoy tomorrow. For now I hope you enjoy the new page banner. Again I am sorry. I haven't forgotten about you I just haven't had much energy or oomph to do too much.
XO That One Girl One of the things I have been wanting to do with my page is take popular YouTube tags and turn them into blog posts. Today's post is the What's in my bag tag. I hope this doesn't bore you. XO That One Girl

*In no particular order*I honestly can't believe that its already time for to write my March Favs. This month has been one big blur. Luckily the weather has been amazing enough to do some pics outside this time around. So with out further blah blah blah lets get on with this months favs. Life happens.... Coffee helps. This month I have been really into Starbucks' latest creation the Caramelized Honey Latte. It has turned into my latest go to iced drink. If you haven't tried it you totally should. I cant stress how good this is. Its the right blend of sweet and coffee. Speaking of yummy things. This month one of my best friends Shayna and I have been totally obsessed with these little cookies called Nom Noms. They taste exactly like a no bake cookie. The flavor we have been eating the hell out of lately are the Peanut Butter Oats, Nom Noms are made by a company called Nature Box. And are 100% good for you. So you don't have to feel bad for eating a whole bag in one sitting. As Shayna has said "Nom Noms are life." haha shes going to kill me for that.
Keeping it with the theme of entertainment for the moment. This month I fell in love the book Lady Midnight (The Dark Artifice Book 1) by Cassandra Clare. Cassandra Clare is one of my all time fav authors. I have all of her books. I would highly recommend any of her series to anyone. I could''t put it down the whole time I was reading it, I can't wait for book 2. The Dark Artifice Series is the sister series to the Mortal Instruments *the books are nothing like the show* this time around you the story is set in California at the Los Angeles institute. Below is a run down of the plot... (with no spoilers) It’s been five years since the events of City of Heavenly Fire that brought the Shadowhunters to the brink of oblivion. Emma Carstairs is no longer a child in mourning, but a young woman bent on discovering what killed her parents and avenging her losses. Together with her parabatai Julian Blackthorn, Emma must learn to trust her head and her heart as she investigates a demonic plot that stretches across Los Angeles, from the Sunset Strip to the enchanted sea that pounds the beaches of Santa Monica. If only her heart didn’t lead her in treacherous directions… Making things even more complicated, Julian’s brother Mark—who was captured by the faeries five years ago—has been returned as a bargaining chip. The faeries are desperate to find out who is murdering their kind—and they need the Shadowhunters’ help to do it. But time works differently in faerie, so Mark has barely aged and doesn’t recognize his family. Can he ever truly return to them? Will the faeries really allow it? *side note these are no Tinkerbell type faeries*
I hope you all enjoyed my March favs. I know there wasn't that many. Who knows April's favs might be longer.
