Hey guys! I know it has been too long sense I have written a blog post. I threw myself into my school work. However Spring break is right around the corner and I plan on posting a lot during my time off so don't worry the page isn't going anywhere. Speaking of school by now everyone knows that I have been taking an Intro to Play Writing class. The class has been a complete blast. I have so many fun memories I will be taking away from this quarter. One of the requirements of the class is to write a 10 minute play, cast it direct it and then present it to the public. I am super excited to tell you all that tonight I will be presenting my 10 minute play "The Circle" like I said I am super excited but I am also a little nervous.
This is my first official original concept play I have written and directed. In the 8th grade a hand full of people in my acting class *myself included* were chosen to write, direct, and star in our own play instead of having to do book work for the semester. We choice to do a reboot of Romeo and Juliet *how original right?* The story was done a little more modern as we had a skater fall in love with a cheerleader. It was vert relatable haha but it's an fun experience that I will never forget.
"The Circle" Is a story about witchcraft, family legacy's and secrets, with a potential wedding on the side.
It's Joycelyn's wedding day. She is marring the man of her dreams and making history by joining the two most powerful families in the history of castors, But what happens when Thayer lets a secret about the future of the circles slip just hours before their wedding? Is he really plotting something with Joycelyn's mother Ruby? Or is Ruby just using Thayer as a pon in her own selfish game of life?
I have mentioned a couple times that I am taking a play writing class. Last week we wrote our first 2 character scene. The prompt for the scene was one character wanted a book from another character. The scene had to be from 5-10 pages long. Once the character got the book in question the scene was over.
I chose to write my scene about one of my favorite characters to write Connor. I will admit I was really nervous we started doing read through of everyone''s scene. There is no way my scene could stand up to everyone else's. It literally surprised me when they really liked my scene. They laughed at the right parts and some people asked me to carry on writing for Connor and my new character Taylin. Which I plan on doing.
Sense the seen I wrote was about Connor and this is where I come to write my short stories about him I thought I would share the scene with all of you as well. From time to time I may put my scene work up on this page but I wont be putting all of them.

Connor has had a crush on Taylin ever sense he can remember. He has never had the nerve to ask her out, until today.
(Enters down stage right. He sees Taylin a crossed the stage gathering books from her locker and stops.)
Oh God there she is! Okay, okay you've got this. Just walk over there and ask her to the movies. It's just that simple. What's the worst thing that could happen? She could see me standing here staring at her talking to myself, and think I'm an idiot. I should stop doing that. I'm just going to bite the bullet and ask her out.
(Walks over to join Taylin at her locker.)
(kneeling of the floor. Looking up from as Connor approaches.)
Hey Con, what's up?
I uh... Um, I was just uh wondering... If you. Um if you.
(Stands slinging her backpack over her shoulder.)
If I what?
I was wondering if you would let me borrow your Geometry-book? I lost mine and Riker hinted at a pop quiz for tomorrow. If I drop below a B I can't play basketball this year.
Yea totally. I heard he does things like that lot. Pop quizzes and surprise tests in the middle of a chapter.
(Pauses then shuts her locker.)
Crap. I left it in study hall. Do you have time to walk with me to get it?
Uh yeah sure. I can walk... With you I mean. I can walk with you to study hall.
(Connor and Taylin exit down stage left. Then reenter a miute later down stage right.)
(walking a crossed the stage with Connor.)
I got a new job finally. It's at the new smoothie place. You know the one over on Brand. It's pretty cool. The manger has bright purple hair with white underneath. I really wish I was cool enough to pull something like that off.
You can definitely pull something like that off. Except I see you more of a pink with blonde underneath hair style. Like a sunset.
(Stops next to Connor)
Really you think I'm cool enough to pull off sunset hair?
I know I'm about to sound majorly cheesy right now so bear with me. I honestly think you're cool enough to pull off anything. Not just sunset hair.
(Bumps Connor's shoulder with her own. They both continue walking again.)
Thanks Con. As cheesy as it sounded that was pretty nice. Can I ask you something personal?
Red, Mint Chocolate Chip, The Flash, And Wednesday.
(They both stop at a classroom door.)
I'm sorry what was all of that?
That was my favorite color. My favorite ice-cream flavor. My favorite T.V show and my favorite day of the week. You said you wanted to ask me something personal, so I gave you a list of answers to personal questions.
Cute, but none of those were the answer to the question I was going to ask. What I wanted to ask you was, why don’t you have a girlfriend.
I guess I never had the guts to ask the right girl out.
Maybe you should ask the Wizard for some courage then and ask her.
(Taylin enters the classroom and reemerges with her Geomitry-Book.)
Here you go. Let me know if you need any help studding. We had a pop quiz this morning in Langer's class.
(She hands the book to Connor.)
Do you want to go to the movies with me this weekend?
That was a fast trip to the Wizard.
I took a short cut. Do you want to go? I mean you don't have to if you don't...
I would love to!
I hope everyone has had a great start to the new year so far. I'm not sure how long this post is going to be. I just wanted to come on here and give you all a small update on what has been happening in my life. This month got off to a good start. I had my birthday and started the Winter quarter at the college. Classes are going great so far. I'm really excited about my intro to play writing class. We have to write a 10 minute play and then present it to the public.
Unfortunately this month hasn't been all that great. Shortly before Christmas my aunt was diagnosed with cancer. About a week ago she ended up in the hospital the cancer has turned fatal. I'm not going into anymore detail because this is part of my close personal life and I don't want to plaster it all over the internet. I just wanted to let everyone why I had taken a break from the page. I am not posting this to be some woe is me feel sorry for me person. I am simply giving an update. I don't want you all to think I just up and left the page. I really do want to do more on here this year. I plan to post my 10 minute play when I finish it. Although that won't be for a couple weeks from now. Until then I hope you all have a wonderful rest of this 3 day weekend.

That one Girl
It's that time of year again, the days are getting shorter, coffee cups are turning red and there's a Christmas movie on every channel you turn. December is finally here and this year were starting off Blogmas with my Top 5 favorite Christmas movies.
1. The Santa Claus
I'm the type of person that will watch a movie a million times over. I will also watch a Christmas movie in March if its on, but this movie I will only watch around Christmas time. It just doesn't feel like Christmas until I've seen The Santa Claus.
2. Home Alone
How can you not love this movie? Its a Christmas classic. I have so many memories surrounding this movie, in fact I'm watching it right now. Home Alone is the movie that started my love for Christmas movies. It will never get old.
3. Th Grinch That Stole Christmas
What can I say about this movie that hasn't already been said? It's one of those stories that you can love and learn from at any age.
4. A Christmas Story
Who hasn't quoted this movie at least once in their lives? I love everything about this movie. I will also full on admit I own cookie cutters shaped like the leg lamp and bunny pajamas. I watch the marathon every year.
5. Frosty The Snowman
Frosty is an all time Christmas classic. I love everything about this movie. (minus the Netflix remake.)
