:Last night was a very interesting night. I was home alone for the first time in a really long time. So I decided I was going to use this night as fun relaxing me time. I made dinner watched the X Factor and started a marathon of the latest Vampire Diaries DVDs. About half way threw my mini marathon I decided to take a bath. No sooner had I finished filling the tub when there is a noise outside my house. My dogs who only bark at night when something comes near the house went nuts. Lady was barking and growling at the window while Spike was barking and growling at the door. It was 11 at night needless to say I got a bit worried as to what was out there.
Being the girl who has seen a thousand horror films, and has more memorized then I think is healthy decided it was best to just look out the window. Then to call my mom and give her a heads up on what was happening. She informed me that it could possibly be a stray cat or the opossum that has been in the area lately. But if I heard the noise again the call the cops. An hour later I'm cuddled up ready to read a book when I hear the noise again! The dogs once again go nuts. Barking and growling. So that's how I found myself calling 911 at the unlucky stroke of midnight. As a random twist of fate would have it the lady on the other end of my 911 call conveniently lives right down the street. She also thought it may be the what I'm now finding to be infamous opossum that has been roaming around lately. But to be safe she sent an officer over to check things out just in case. About 10 minutes later there was a patrol car outside my house.
The officer searched around the outside of my house came to the door and assured me he didn't see anything. But just to be sure he was staying in the area for the night. I was wound up by this time and didn't really feel in the mood to read or watch The Vampire Diaries anymore. So I went to my trusty Netflix and flipped threw my list que. In the end I found my self cuddled up on the couch with both dogs and one of my favorite movies The Lords of Dog Town. I didn't get to sleep until around 2 am. So much for a relaxing evening at home...
